2022-2023 Highlights
- Ibero-American Development Corporation continues to expand its affordable housing field by providing healthy and safe units to families in the Rochester area. Some significant achievements this year:
- Constructed the Community Resource Center at El Camino
- Managed the International Plaza, where an average of 300 people congregated on Sunday for entertainment and commerce for 16 consecutive weeks during the year.
- *In the last three years, IADC has brought about $35M of housing and recreational investment to the area. This excludes the City of Rochester development of the International Plaza.
- Expanded the Pueblo Nuevo project by constructing 29 new units for a total of 104 new units for individuals and families earning 30%, 50% and 60% of the Area Median Income (AMI) .
- Continued the process to establish the El Camino Neighborhood Association in the area delimited by Upper Falls Blvd., North Clinton Ave, Long Acre Road, and the Genesee River, working with existing block clubs.
- Lead direct outreach to hundreds of businesses and individuals to promote the City of Rochester Buy the Block homeownership program.
- Sponsored many activities and supported between 250 and 300 families.
- Provided summer meals and engaged an average of 50 children daily through El Camino Play.
