The Ibero-American Development Corporation (IADC) is an affiliate corporation to the Ibero American Action League and provides high quality affordable housing opportunities in pursuit of equity in housing and wealth building opportunities.

IADC is part of the HOME Rochester program in the role of construction manager and sales; it provides first-time homebuyers education services to assists prospective buyers in navigating and utilizing the available resources. IADC develops and manages high quality residential units such as Buena Vista Manor for seniors and El Camino Estates and housing for special needs population and has invested and/or spurred investment of over $22M in and around the El Camino neighborhood in office and recreational spaces and affordable housing.

Ibero staff help coordinate not just medical mental health and substance abuse services, but also the social service needs of the individual.

IADC, with the generous support of the Greater Rochester Health Foundation, has been engaged in community development efforts such as Project HOPE (Healthy Outcomes through Participation, Education & Empowerment) that has worked to improve the overall health and wellbeing of the community through residents’ empowerment and action. ADC is the recipient of a Byrne Criminal Justice Innovation Grant for nearly $1 million from the Department of Justice for Project CLEAN (Community, Law Enforcement & Assistance Network).

The project is working to address the heroin epidemic on North Clinton Avenue and the surrounding community. As part of the program with dozens of community partners have been collaborating to improve conditions in the area. Recent and future projects include the La Marketa at the International Plaza, Pueblo Nuevo housing project, a community center and upgrades to parks in the El Camino neighborhood to include Don Samuel Torres Park and Conkey Corner Park.
