ASPIRA is a school-based, early intervention program designed to assist students, referred as ASPIRAntes, who are transitioning from primary to secondary level education. Each Mentor will provide peer and social skills development strategies, behaviorally based incentives, achievement recognition, and structure- which leads to enhanced academic and behavioral outcomes for the student.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Familias Unidas, A family-based program for Hispanic families conducted in Spanish. It is designed to prevent conduct disorders; use of illicit drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes; and risky sexual behaviors by improving family functioning. The intervention is delivered primarily through multi-parent groups, which aim to develop effective parenting skills, and family visits, during which parents apply skills while interacting with their adolescent.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\tAt 15, Trey Clark came to Ibero during a turbulent time in his life. He had been dealing with bullying, getting into fights, and struggling to find a space where he felt safe and understood. Introduced to the Ambassador Program, he found not only a job \u2014 but a supportive environment that helped him regain stability and confidence. \u201cI felt like I didn\u2019t have anybody,\u201d Trey said, \u201cbut working here, everybody\u2019s kind. At home, Trey\u2019s family sees the changes too \u2014 sometimes challenging him to be more independent, now that he\u2019s working and maturing. One of the most transformative aspects of the program for Nia was overcoming her fear of public speaking. \u201cI used to be scared of talking to people and large crowds,\u201d she shared, but through regular community engagement and teamwork, that fear faded. A standout moment for her was organizing the Skate Lovers event, which drew over 200 attendees. \u201cI realized I was doing something good for the community,\u201d she said, reflecting on the impact.
