share that Ibero\u2019s 2026 Scholarship Application, in English and Spanish, is available! <\/span>This scholarship is designed to support Hispanic students graduating in the Summer of 2026.<\/p>\n<p><b>Deadline to apply:<\/b>&nbsp;Friday, March 6th, 2026.<\/p>\n<p><b>IMPORTANT NOTE TO STUDENTS AND COUNSELORS:&nbsp;<\/b><\/p>\n<p>We strongly encourage all students to submit their type=\"square\"><li><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Applicant must be a resident of one of the following counties: Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Wayne, Yates, Montgomery, or Niagara.<\/span><\/li><li>Applicant must be of Hispanic origin.\u00a0<span lang=\"es-PR\">One or both parents must be Hispanic, with family roots from: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Spain, Uruguay, or Venezuela.<\/span><\/li><li>Applicant must submit a copy of birth or adoption certificate.<\/li><li>Applicant must be a high school graduating senior.<\/li><li>Applicant must submit one senior photo (good resolution, formats: printed, JPEG or PDF, in color).<\/li><li>Applicant must demonstrate high academic achievement with a grade point average of 3.0 (B) or better in the\u00a0<u>core subjects<\/u>.<\/li><li>Applicant MUST be committed to entering a college or university in the Fall of 2026.\u00a0 The student must apply and start college in the fall of 2026 to qualify for the scholarship.<\/li><li>Applicant must submit\u00a0<u>TWO<\/u> letters of recommendation: One from a school counselor or teacher, and one from a community member: church leader, work supervisor, etc. (not a family member or relative).<\/li><li><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Applicant must include a short essay describing their background and career goals.<\/span><\/li><li>Applicant must submit an official transcript from high school, Cada a\u00f1o, se invita a estudiantes hispanos locales a solicitar estas becas desde diciembre hasta marzo.\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-41211e3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"41211e3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Estas becas est\u00e1n dise\u00f1adas para apoyar a los estudiantes en sus trayectorias acad\u00e9micas al ofrecer asistencia financiera que puede utilizarse para la matr\u00edcula, libros y otros gastos educativos. En 2024 pudimos aumentar la cantidad m\u00ednima otorgada de $500 a $1,000 por solicitante. Es nuestro deseo y compromiso mantener esta mejora en el futuro.<\/p><p>Puedes asociarte con Ibero para ayudar a que la universidad sea una realidad para estudiantes hispanos, apoyando la educaci\u00f3n superior de futuros l\u00edderes y profesionales de la comunidad. Los donantes pueden crear una beca con nombre propio y sugerir requisitos espec\u00edficos para su contribuci\u00f3n, la cual es 100% deducible de impuestos.
